Overview

Brands using Pietra Fulfillment by Pietra (FBP) can offer Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping for international orders. This setup ensures that duties and taxes are paid upfront, reducing customs delays and improving the customer experience.

To qualify for DDP shipping with Pietra, your inventory must be stored and fulfilled from Pietra’s fulfillment center.

Options to Set Up DDP Shipping

Option 1: DDP with DHL

  1. Go to the Shopify App Store and install the DHL Duty and Tax Calculator Shopify app.

  2. Set the shipping rates you’d like to charge customers at checkout.

💡 Note: The DHL Shopify app requires a plan that supports carrier-calculated shipping. This is included in the Advanced Shopify and Shopify Plus plans, or can be added to any plan for a monthly fee.

Option 2: DDP with Passport

  1. Email creators@pietrastudio.com to request Passport setup.

  2. A Pietra representative will introduce you to Passport’s onboarding team to complete the process.

Once your DDP configuration is complete, Pietra will update your fulfillment settings to ensure DDP is used for international shipments.
