All factories, suppliers, and creative service providers are browsable and searchable on Pietra.
Searching & Browsing Factories
If you are looking for a specific factory, you are welcome to browse or use the search bar to look up factories who can make specific products. Simply type in the product that you want to make, like "Sports Bra", and you will be presented with factories who can make that product. From there, you can browse factory and supplier profiles and choose the one that best suites your style, price, and any other criteria.
Sampling From A Factory
Pietra makes it easier to pick a factory to work with by being able to order samples from a factory. Most of the items you see on the marketplace are samples from factories of past projects that you can purchase to test quality of the supplier. Each supplier profile also indicates their manufacturing capability. If you see something that is similar to what you want to make, you can chat with the supplier directly on Pietra and ask them if they can make it.
Finding a Factory For a Custom Product
If you know what you'd like to create or source and don't want to spend time browsing the factory network, you can submit an "RFP". On Pietra you can submit a RFP by clicking the "Create Custom Project" button on the sourcing homepage.
Submitting a custom project to the marketplace allows suppliers to read your request, specifications, and reach out to you if they can help you. Remember to select the correct category for your products since factories are only allowed to respond to RFPs that are in their service category. This is also a very popular way of getting many different factories and suppliers from all around the world to respond to you so you can compare samples and pick the right factory.
