Shopify Orders Syncing Guide

Objective

Pietra allows for a seamless import of Shopify orders into your Creator Hub once your store has been synced to Pietra’s fulfillment system. When onboarding to Pietra FBP, there is often a backlog of orders placed before the Pietra <> Shopify integration that you would like Pietra to fulfill. Brands have three available options for syncing these orders:

  1. Automatically Sync Orders to Pietra – Change the fulfillment location assigned to unfulfilled orders in Shopify. (This option is available if you meet the eligibility criteria below).

  2. Import Orders to Pietra via CSV – Bulk upload order data.

  3. Manually Create Orders in Pietra – Enter orders one by one through the Pietra platform.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for automatic order syncing (Option 1), the following conditions must be met:

  • You have an active Pietra account and Shopify store.

  • Pietra’s Shopify app is installed on your Shopify store.

  • Each item had a unique SKU assigned in Shopify at the time the order was placed.

  • The order must be no older than 3 months. If you do have orders that are more than 3 months old, please contact creators@pietrastudio.com.

Note: If no SKU was assigned to products at the time of order placement or if SKUs were not unique, the brand must use CSV import or manual order creation. Automatic syncing is not feasible in these cases.

Instructions

  1. Grant Access & Install App

    1. Once you grant access to your Shopify store, Pietra will install our Shopify app.

  2. Sync SKUs to Shopify

    1. Request SKU syncing from your Pietra account.

    2. A Pietra representative will confirm once the sync is complete.

  3. Verify SKU Assignment in Shopify

    1. Open the order details page in Shopify.

    2. Ensure that each item in the orders you want Pietra to fulfill has a unique SKU at the time of purchase.

  4. Update Fulfillment Location in Shopify

    1. Change the fulfillment location of the order/items from the originally assigned fulfillment location to the pietra App location.

  5. Verify Order Sync in Pietra

    1. Check your Pietra account..

    2. If the order is synced correctly, it will appear in the “Outstanding” tab of your Pietra account and include all of the items to be fulfilled by Pietra.


      Note: the order(s) may also appear in the “On Hold” tab if there is an item in the order that is out of stock, or if there’s another reason that may block the order from being fulfilled within standard SLA.
