How can Pietra help me schedule a domestic freight pickup or delivery to a Pietra warehouse?

Updated yesterday

If you're shipping cartons or pallets to a Pietra Fulfillment Center and would like help coordinating domestic freight** versus shipping by carton via a carrier we’re happy to assist. Shipping via freight often offers a more cost-effective approach to transporting large shipments.

You are always welcome to schedule freight through your own provider. However, if you’d prefer that Pietra handles the logistics for you, we can request a freight quote on your behalf and manage the pickup and delivery once approved.

If you are purchasing inventory from a Pietra Marketplace Supplier, it’s usually best to coordinate directly with the supplier. Many suppliers can arrange freight to our warehouse, and it may be included in your invoice.

**for international freight assistance, contact a Pietra partner directly here.

What information do I need to provide to request a freight quote?

Please email support@pietrastudio.com or contact your account manager with the following details:

  • Pickup address: where the pallet is being picked up from)

  • Delivery address: if shipping to Pietra Fulfillment, simply "Pietra Fulfillment" is acceptable

  • Pallet dimensions and weight: the weight and dims of each individual pallet is required

  • Merchandise type: e.g., candles, apparel, skincare, etc. Required by freight carriers for insurance and classification.

  • Whether a lift gate is required: if your pickup is from a home or garage, this is likely needed

  • Target delivery date: optional, but helpful

Once we have this information, we’ll request a quote from one of our freight partners and share it with you for approval. After you approve, we’ll handle the scheduling and send you a BOL (Bill of Lading) to share with the pickup contact.

Freight Terms You Might Hear

  • BOL (Bill of Lading): A document that serves as the shipment receipt and includes all pickup and delivery details. You’ll need to give this to the freight driver.

  • Pallet Weight/Dimensions: The weight and sizes of your pallet once packed. Helps determine freight cost.

  • Lift Gate: A mechanical platform on the back of a truck that helps lower heavy pallets to the ground. Required if the pickup or delivery location doesn’t have a loading dock or forklift.
