Overview
If you need to make changes to a customer order after it's been placed, you can update the order in Shopify and then resync it to Pietra so our system has the latest information.
Reasons you may need to update a Shopify order and resync to Pietra include:
Swapping out a product size
Replacing an out of stock variant
Removing an item from your customer order
You can update and resync orders in Outstanding or On Hold status only. Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Edit the Order in Shopify
Log in to Shopify Admin.
Navigate to the Orders tab and find the order you'd like to update.
Click Edit in the top right corner of the order page**
Remove the incorrect items (e.g., the wrong size or color).
Add the correct items to the order.
Save your changes.
**Note: if your order is marked "In progress" or "Fulfillment in progress" you will need to Select Cancel request to add or remove any items from the order.
Step 2: Resync the Order in Pietra
Once you’ve updated the order in Shopify:
Go to the Orders section in Pietra.
Find the order you just updated.
Click Resync Order (you may see this as a button or option next to the order). This instruction tells Pietra to pull in the latest version of the order from Shopify, including any changes you made.
If the Order is On Hold, move the order Back to Outstanding or Release Hold to move the order back into the fulfillment queue.
