When Does Pietra Send Order Notifications?

Depending on how an order is created in Pietra, email notifications may be sent to your customers. Here's a breakdown to help you understand when notifications are sent by Pietra and when they are not.

Pietra sends email notifications for certain manual orders created in the Pietra portal. To manually create an order in Pietra, navigate to: Fulfillment > Orders & Fulfillment > Create An Order.

Cases when email notification will not be sent by Pietra:

If you use any of the following order creation methods, Pietra will not send an email notification to your customer:

  • Orders synced from Shopify

    • Pietra updates the fulfillment status in Shopify once the order is fulfilled.

    • If your Shopify store has order notifications enabled, customers will receive those updates directly from Shopify.

  • Orders uploaded via CSV using either of these methods:

    • Import Bulk Orders

    • Submit a Wholesale Order > Bulk Import Wholesale Orders


Cases when an email notification will be sent by Pietra

Pietra will send a customer email notification if you use either of the following methods to create an order:

  • Submit a Single Order

  • Submit a Wholesale Order > Create a Manual Wholesale Order
